Guest guest
, First let me tell you that you have nothing to be afraid of, this is a great group! I have just finished reading most of your blog and felt I needed to respond. There is no shame in asking for help, for many of use sometimes it is easier to ask than to give. There are some wonderful ladies here paying it forward with their time and encouragement. welcome to the group! I have severe Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue syndrome, which makes it very hard to lose weight. In fact, after doing a month of Atkins I gained 3 pounds. At any rate, my friends are taking donations for me so that I can get the surgery and I'm blogging the whole experience, along with that I'm going to try to video tape as much as possible while in Mexico so that others won't be afraid of going and they'll know Dr. Aceves is THE surgeon to go to! Even if I had a million dollars I would still pick him any day over a Dr. here in Las Vegas. Anyway, my story is at http://www.skinnyrenee.com if you want to read about it. It was really touching to realize I wasn't alone. If it wasn't for Asia Carrera, the donations page wouldn't have happened, no way would I have been brave enough to do it. She's the real hero here! 3 Cheers for the retired porn star! lol `
Guest guest
,I just read your touching story and I think a lot of us can relate in our own ways.I have PCOS and have struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember! I have an awesome hubby who loves me no matter what my size and the only thing he has ever asked for was to have children! Unfortunately my PCOS and weight made that impossible. I decided to change my life and have surgery last year. This year I found out that insurance DOES pay for the sleeve, but I don't care. I wouldn't change paying out of pocket with Dr. A even if insurance wouldn't have cost me a penny.Just last Monday I found out that I/we are pregnant! Miracles do happen! I owe this to my sleeve, Dr. A's expertise and the support of friends, family and fellow sleevers who have molded my journey. I see that you have your donations page up until Aug...I hope to contribute, but right now my hubby is out of work and OMG! WE ARE HAVING A BABY! If I can help in anyway, I promise I will. Anything to help another sister out in their journey to a new, healthy, better life is my goal....pay it forward is the perfect name!Don't give up! It is totally okay to reach out for help. Keep fighting for what is best for you and your health! Best of luck to you and keep us updated on your progress!!KristaSent from my iPhoneOn May 2, 2011, at 5:12 PM, Sue Logg <sue.logg@...> wrote: , First let me tell you that you have nothing to be afraid of, this is a great group!
