Guest guest
Nicki, I hear you about getting yourself in the right place mentally and here's a couple more things to consider. Don't have any bags of chips in the house to just grab and go........they are not good food for anybody. For me, if I think I "have" to have them then I also have to take the time to go somewhere to get them...if I need to grab and go, I don't have time to go to even a convenience store. Most important of all ANYbody CAN do this and the sleeve makes it easier. For that first month your physically tiny and swollen (normal post op swelling but you cannot see it in there) will not hold much and for me, if I ate one bite too much that one bite came right back up. Most of the time I knew before I swallowed that I should not swallow and I learned to spit it out before swallowing instead of after puking. You will learn to slow down and to think while eating and drinking, especially in company of others because you would rather leave food (I know that's hard!) than spit and you would rather spit it out before it is puke. Go for it girl...you can do it and you want it and we are all here to cheer you on to success.gloriaband 12/05sleeve 12/08?? seems forever ago
