Alcohol Intake after surgery

I am due to have the sleeve with Dr. Aceves. I am very excited, and of

course, nervous, however, I was impressed with the facility and meeting

the staff so I feel much better now.

I was a bit nervous meeting Dr. Aceves, although he turned out to be

very pleasant, but he was in-between surgeries so I only focused on my

very important questions. One thing I did not get a chance to ask him

was the following: I usually will have a glass of wine or beer after

work or with my meal. Of course I realize they contain calories and

will have to be taken in moderation after the surgery. I just wanted

to hear from other sleevers and see if they have had any problems

having the occasional glass of wine after the sleeve.

I actually had a few sips after dinner each night when I first started

eating regular food. It seemed to help with digestion. I have had no

problems drinking a whole glass of wine either.
