Guest guest
I am having a revision done on the same day. I live in Arizona so my husband and son are driving me down and they will stay at the hotel there. I have been researching this for a long time and am finally taking the leap. I am now researching liquid protein drinks, any good ones out there? > > I am having a revision done on March 16 arrive the 15th anyone else I am traveling alone. Guest guest
I would have suggested that you order the sample packs at first to see if you like it instead of the containers. It was OK. I have found that I like Premier Protein much better, but you can't use it the 1st 10 days. So I used the Chicken broth sample packets for some of those 1st 10 days. Guest guest
Its the best whey protein I have found. Most is so nasty I couldn't drink it. The Unjury Strawberry Sorbet is excellent in Crystal Light lemonade. Since I am past the clear stage I'm using Medifast shakes, cream soups and drinks. I much prefer to have soy. Guest guest
I did a protein diet two years ago, so I have experienced a variety of products. Unjury is definitly one of the better options. It blends well (some products clump up) in a shaker bottle. The price is reasonable for quantity in a canister. The vanilla is pretty good, the chocolate is ok with water but better with skim milk. The Strawberry Sorbet is a bit odd. I doubt I will order it again. They use aspartame to make it taste better. I'm not wild about artificial sweeteners. However unsweetened protein mix can be quite nasty. -Dennis > > > > I am having a revision done on March 16 arrive the 15th anyone else I am traveling alone. Guest guest
Hi Marilou, I am excited to have a fellow Arizonian having the same procedure done on the same day as me. I got my band Aug. 2006 and lost like 70 pounds, then started having trouble. I have nothing in my band and have gained about 20 pounds. I just have a lot of trouble with my band. I can feel everything going through it, even water. Lately been waking up with acid reflux and always feel like there is a big lump in my chest. Have also had a hard time breathing like asthma. Really weird. I just want to get this thing out of my body. I am looking forward to meeting you. How has your journey been with your band. Guest guest
Not the same day. I was sleeved Feb. 5th. I'm done. So far I like it. No problems at all. I'm on soft food still. This past weekend I had part of a cheese enchilada and refried beans. Yummy and no ill effects. Guest guest
Hi Marilou, Sorry, I mixed you up with someone else, dumby me. I should have replied to "maybesoon" instead. No problem, we both are still in a AZ. Did you have revision surgery or just a sleeve. I live about 30 miles north of Prescott near Chino Valley. Middle of no where. It sounds like things are going well with your sleeve. That is great. I am not the least bit worried about the sleeve, but just a little bit about the condition of my band and also acid reflux. They say you shouldn't get the sleeve if you have acid reflux but mine is recent and has something to do with my band. Oh well, we will soon see. Thanks for you patience, you probably thought I was some kind of nut. Kay Re: Re: March 16th Not the same day. I was sleeved Feb. 5th. I'm done. So far I like it. No problems at all. Guest guest
Hi, I am having the same surgery on the same day. I am from Arizona and have been replying to the wrong person all this time instead of you. Duh! I am coming down with my son and husband and they will stay at the Lucerna Hotel because my son is on spring break. I am assuming you are revising from a band to the sleeve. What kind of problems have you had with your band. I hate mine. Lost 70 pounds then gained back 20. Have had it for 31/2 years. Haven't had a fill for probably half that time and still have gotten things stuck, not as often though. Now it just hurts and feels like burning all the time. Am also having a bit of acid reflux and hard time breathing. We will see whats going on I guess when I get the surgery. Can't wait and am not scared at all. Take care and see you there. My name is Kay. March 16th I am having a revision done on March 16 arrive the 15th anyone else I am traveling alone. Quite adventurous plan on doing some walking outside looking forward to the sun!D. Guest guest
I just had the sleeve. It will be 4 weeks on Friday. The time really flew. I realized what happened. I asked you where you lived on maybesoon's post. Leave it to me to create confusion.
