Guest guest
I believe I will. My friend goes the 21st for pre ops, surgery on the 22nd, and I don't know if she'll spend the full two nights there after surgery or not. If you ask Yolanda she'll likely know where we are when you get there for your fill. I'd love to meet you! I'll be there with a friend getting banded and I'd love to see you! Bipley - are you going to be there the 23rd by any chance? Heidi and I will be there getting our first fill. I have a VG band as well and while I haven't gained, I haven't lost in almost 2 weeks so I'm SO ready for a fill. Trish
Guest guest
You go, Girl! I know what you mean, about the suicide mission thing. I work with some bandsters, some of us have no problem talking about being banded (one is a doctor!) and some have no desire to let The Powers That Be in on the secret of their success. I have to believe that some day TPTB will see the wonderful opportunity WLS provides people who otherwise have no other option but to live life with decreased energy, decreased health, productivity, more time off due to illness and disease... You get the picture. Yes, I do feel that people are " watching " me to see how the process goes, and that is totally fine with me! for one, it keeps me on track. For two, it shows people that WLS does work and HOW it works! Just call me the local Poster Bandster. Sheri > > > > Oh I so get the greed thing! Guest guest
Here is another quote to use with a snotty medical provider and I got it from my own doc's P.A. "The USA isn't the only place in the world where good medicine is practiced!" Feel free to use it and share it with others. Guest guest
As of a few weeks ago, he is offering J & J and Inamed only. Just a little extra information: When asked me which band I preferred, I asked her which one she suggested ( I was totally clueless about the difference). She described the differences, then said " The Inamed is more expensive, but well worth the money. If it was my surgery, I would choose the Inamed. " Needless to say, I chose the Inamed. > > It is the name brand of the band that is put in you. Last I checked, Dr. A was using Inamed or & . he might use other brands, I'm just not sure. No I haven't checked anywhere even close to us, only Bismarck. I do know that the PA that did my last fill at Dr. Schmidt's office is no longer there, that is for the good of the hospital that's for sure. She was horrible, just know that if you go to Dr. Schmidt's for a fill, you ask for the gal who has been there the longest and I believe she only works Monday afternoons. Like you said, plan to go back to Dr. Aceves!! It is worth the money for the plane ticket!!! Oh, Dr. Schmidt's office also, DOESN'T use fluro so they have no idea how much they are giving you or if they accidentally puncture your tubing or anything!! > > Cyrena > > > Re: US vs. Mexico? ? ? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY " INAMED " ??? AND HAVE YOU EVER CHECKED FOR DOCS IN FARGO, ND??? I THINK IT WOULD BE WORTH THE 3 HOUR DRIVE IF THERE IS ONE THERE??? >
Guest guest
If I had a choice...Inamed, but if not, I would totally trust whatever Dr. A recommends for me. He wouldn't be using the JJ if wasn't OK. -jimjustice9311 <justice9311@...> wrote: As of a few weeks ago, he is offering J & J and Inamed only.
