Well, thank you Cyrena. Those who have been hanging around in here for a while know that I DO like to write and sometimes I get carried away. For those who get tired of reading my ramblings, I apologize! As far as being addicted to exercise, I NEVER thought I would live to see that day! Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would be able to complete nor compete in road races! But, I am! I run in every single race I can find that is within 150 miles of home! And something else that makes it so incredibly awesome for me is that my husband always drives me there. Now, understand, this means we often have to leave home by 5 or 5:30 on a SATURDAY morning so I can be at the starting line by 8:00! I feel so lucky because I don't know too many husbands who would do that after working a full week. He is always somewhere along the course...I typically see him somewhere within each mile

and he is always there at the finish line waiting on me to cross...waiting to give me a high 5 and a kiss on the forehead. THIS is what makes it all worth it! He is so supportive. He knows how hard I have worked to get where I am and he, too, is proud of me. I still have a hard time seeing my time when I finish a race because my eyes always fill up with tears when the finish line comes into focus from a distance. I have now run about 25 races and I am still astonished that I am out there....that I am running....that I am able to complete a race....THAT I AM FREE! Who couldn't become addicted to that feeling of total euphoria????? Now if I can just get this damn port removed and get back out there on the pavement, life will be perfectly beautiful again! Take care, JenniCyrena Weeks <cyrenaweeks@...> wrote: Jenni,Don't apologize for long answers, I love reading your posts and can't ever imagine being addicted to exercise. Actually, Cyrena, I had put these swim suits aside to give them to a friend of mine. I placed them in a plastic bag, tied it up, and put it aside in my closet. I honestly thought I had given them to my friend but I just happened to find that bag a few days ago! I only have a couple of items of clothing that I kept but the bathing suits were NOT kept intentionally! And, NO, I'm not in a size 4. I would look extremely anorexic if I wore such a small size. I am in 8s and sometimes 10s which is PLENTY small for me! If I ever get to have plastic surgery, THEN I may be a size 2-4 but not now.

Peace,

Jenni

Jennie,This is very thoughtful of you but I have to ask - What are you still doing with size 22 clothes????? ? Haven't you been a size 4 for more than a year now??????? LOL LOL LOL

Re: [Dr-Aceves-bandster s] in need of a swimsuit

Dawn,

I think I can probably help out with this. I don't think I got rid of bathing suits in that size but let me check when I get home from work to make sure. Go on and send me your address to send them to you and I'll let you know when they are on the way. I think I have one or two that I can get rid of. I may even have a bathing suit cover up if you think she would want that as well. I'll look and see. I'll be in touch.

Take care,

Wow! Cyrena! I am sorry that you are having so many problems. I can't imagine the constant pain and discomfort you must be in.Please listen to these people......anyone considering a band is most likely to be in the strong statistic category of having problems.....not one of the few who have had an easier road. The sleeve at this point will save you soooo much money and time. Already some of the people who had the band when I had the sleeve 1 1/2 years ago have already converted to the sleeve....their band did not last long.....before the problems set in.I hope you all contact these people before making any hard decisions.Gail

I had my band placed 1/19/07. I lost all my weight in 9 months - 90lbs. 2 years ago I went back for a little bit more of a fill (to get the last 5-10 lbs off). I had good luck with that, lost an additional 20lbs. Then I started to have problems, and losing more weight than I should, I had the fill taken out, went back to eating like a hog - 5 pieces of pizza at my son's b-day party oh and cake and ice cream, an entire meal out ended with a huge caramel roll, you get the idea. Went back for a little bit of a fill, got too much, had some taken out, had problems getting solids in, went on a total liquid diet, had all my fill taken out, now I have NO fill and I'm living on ONLY liquids, trying to get a stretched out pouch back to being a little pouch and keep a slip from happening. All that said, I have spent...

First fill in the US- $500 to transfer care to my US surgeon2nd fill 2 weeks later - $1203rd fill in Mexico - $580 - free fill, $80 hospital charge for fluro, $500 in flight and driver4th unfill - $200 (fill rates went up in the US) and a fluro - $400

5th fill - $2006th unfill - $2007th unfill a month later - $200 and an Upper GI with Small Bowel Follow-through - $700A month (so far) on liquids and no end in sight - pricelessAs you can see, it would have been cheaper to have the sleeve. This was 3 years ago so it wasn't as popular as it is now, but you can see why it would be VERY popular now. I'm still paying for my band right now and we are saving money for a house, but as soon as a spare $10,000 comes around I will have my band converted to a sleeve :)

Subject: Banded over 2-5 years

Hello Everyone,I would like to know of anyone who has been banded over 2-5 years. I hear a lot on this site about banded people loosing their band in 2 years. If you have had your band for more then 5 years, I would really love to hear from you.

Thanks,
