Guest guest
Hi, I think that is the right amount of time off. Look at it this way, if you are feeling better sooner and want to return to work you can. You will know as the days go on. Just be comfortable with yourself and how you will be eating at work too. Make sure you take what you need for food when you go back to work. Take care and you are going to enjoy meeting Dr. Aceves and his incredible staff. Tell him Suzanne said to says Hi. He is really a kind and caring man. If you get worried about anything or get scared which is normal just send me a note. I am always reading my E-mails. Guest guest
I was back at work no problem to my desk job the next MondayI would highly suggest you all your chicked broth, protein shakes, etc. before surgery! You won't want to deal with it after. Your energy levels will be up and down, and I knew I would be in the mood to deal with rude shoppers.-DennisSent on the Sprint® Now Network from my BlackBerry®From: "ca_josh" <letsslamit@...>Sender: Date: Sat, 21 May 2011 17:57:08 -0000< >Reply Subject: How much time should I take off of work for a VSG!? Guest guest
In my experience (and everyone's is different...), I had my surgery on Thursday and returned to work on Monday a week and a half later. Most days I felt okay, but there were a couple of them that I just felt really very weak. I am a teacher, so there is a lot of up and down, but I could modify and sit when I needed to. I really felt like I should have taken another week off, but I did make it through but dealt with the fatigue and weakness. So, do I think it can be done? Absolutely, but you just may feel like poo off and on Good luck! You're going to eventually feel like SuperMan!!! Guest guest
I had surgery on a Thursday, stayed out of work the next full week. I know many people who go right back to work. I was grateful to have that week off though. Guest guest
And I had problems with nausea in the 2nd-4th week, which kept me home some.
