Hey MJ,

Gee, I find it amazing that I am an inspiration! And thank you so much for the kind words. I can remember when I started and I would look at other people's pictures and think to myself I want to be just like them. So if I am an inspiration to you that makes me feel really good. I am just a regular person just like the rest of you. I am pretty good at communication--because I feel communication can solve a lot of problems in this world. I am more than happy to cheer people on and let them know that they too can get to their goal. You will do it and I know that for a fact because I had failed sooooooooo many times at all other kinds of weight loss. This one works and this one was what I need all those times when I failed. It is a dream come true. As far as doing something to celebrate I think I will go out any buy myself a really nice pair of skinny jeans. We are going to Italy in Sept 2010 so I guess that is a big celebration too! I can wear my skinny jeans in Italy!

Thanks for the nice words and making be feel special.

Suzanne,Congratulations and a big hug to you!!!! I am so happy for you!!! What a wonderful accomplishment! You have been an inspiration to me since I first chatted with you here and you have reached what will be my goal as well. I am so delighted for you - I can only imagine how wonderful it must feel. I hope you are planning something special to celebrate - you deserve it! :)Have a fantastic weekend!Love,MJ :)>> Hi Everyone,> > I have made it to my goal. I now have lost 100 pounds. The last few months have been the hardest to get those last few pounds off. I started my journey on Oct 21, 2008 and I was 63 years old when I started—I will be 65 in August. You are never too old to start to become healthy, so never give up on yourself. It took me 15 months to accomplish my goal. I will still say the 1st 30 days are the hardest to do. So if you are just starting out PLEASE know that it just keeps getting better. 30 days is not a lifetime. > > You are not going to be on a diet. You are going to have to make a lifestyle changes. I always looked at a diet as something I HAD to do to get where I wanted to go. Now I know I should have looked at it as a lifestyle change—something I will do for the rest of my life. What I do every day is very livable and doable. You will find that magic that works for you. I am now am going to have to start to carry around my picture of me when I weighed 100 pounds more or as I refer to it as my "FAT picture." Sometimes people who don't know me don't have a clue that I have lost 100 pounds. Sometimes they hear me talking to a friend and they say there is NO way you weighed 100 pounds more—wrong I did. This has been a learning process and knowing that I am healthy now makes me feel 20 years younger because I made "me" a priority and put myself first for the first time in many years. My back no longer hurts, I no longer have a pain in my leg and the ONLY medication I now take is thyroid and I only take ¼ of what I used to take because I am healthy again! The sleeve is my tool that gives me the restriction that I should have been born with! > > Take your journey one day at a time, and if you have a bad day know that the next day you can start all over. It is about making the choice to eat healthy foods. It means learning that exercise is good for you and it really does help and makes a difference in your weight loss. I have learned it is good to not clean your plate and when to stop eating. I have NO problem tossing out food anymore. Who cares if someone is hungry in another place or country, they aren't here right now to clean my plate, so I just toss it out! Some of the foods I use to crave I no longer want or crave. Some of my tastes have changed. I also find that eating at home is much easier for me than going out. Don't get me wrong we go out and eat, but I like to eat at home and fix what I like better and I get much smaller amounts of food when I eat at home. When you go out I see such large servings, and there is no way I can eat it. Make sure you check with your doctor and watch you Cholesterol and Glucose and all your other blood work. It is actually fun watching these tests and seeing everything come down to normal levels. Take care of yourself FIRST and you will be successful you sure are worth every effort you make. It will happen too for you too! Thanks for all the fantastic support I have received from everyone. I am not going away,I will be here to support the new people.> > Hugs,> Suzanne in Oregon> 225 125 125> Start Now Goal> Sleeved 10/21/08>
