Guest guest
My surgery date is the 29th - this post is so inspiring for me to read as I'd like to lose about the same amount of weight as well. This group has been inspirational as well as it comes down to the "magic day" ... its been great for my nerves which were (and sometimes are) all over the place so thanks Trish chrisbz39@... writes: Hi I was really excited when I saw this group. My name is and Dr. Aceves performed my lap band suregry in June 2006. My weight at surgery was 440 lbs. I am now 240 lbs. and I look and feel great.I no longer have diabetes or high blood pressure and my energy level is great. Dont get me wrong it was a long hard road getting here but it was the best decision I have ever made. See AOL's top rated recipes and easy ways to stay in shape for winter. Guest guest
Trish and I are bandmates and we were just talking about how excited we are to get the ball rolling. The past two weeks my body has been screaming to get this done. My knees and hips are killing me and I am getting some signs of pre-diabetes. I can't wait to have the desire and the ability to play with my kids. Right now I have no energy and it flat out hurts! Ok this came out negative but I meant to just say - YEAH only 11 more days until I am a bandster! HeidiSee AOL's top rated recipes and easy ways to stay in shape for winter. Guest guest
Chris! Oh my goodness! You must post some photos. What wonderful news. Isn't this the best thing since artificial sweeteners (can't say sliced bread to a bandster)? Guest guest
Way to go Heidi and Trish! I am convinced this decision (the same you have now made) saved my life, and gave me my life back. I have lost 46 pounds so far, but gained far more in increased energy, health, and self-esteem. I went to my local Doctor today and they had my blood results from when they were taken Monday...no more cholesterol meds, BP meds, or C-Pap! The team in Mexicalli are honestly the best. Keep in touch! -drjim Bipley <Bipley@...> wrote: The only thing you will regret is not getting it done sooner!Congrats! Guest guest
Hi Heidi, I was always afraid to go near the ocean for fear of a bunch of folks trying to roll me back into the water to "try and save me"...maybe this year I too can get up the courage to try on my old swimming trunks. I can tell by the excitement in your writings that you WILL be in that bathing suit well before August...we're all pullin' for you! -jim DOB: 10.3.07 276/228/185HeidiMatt@... wrote: I almost feel like we are going to camp! LOL! What an amazing new year present to myself. I feel like this year is going to be amazing! We are book on a Disney cruise in August and I am hoping to wear a bathingsuit proudly by then! Guest guest
Thanks! Last time we went on a cruise I felt so uncomfortable I didn't even put my bathingsuit on so I missed all the water fun! Not this time!!! This time I am determined to swim with the dolphins with my kids! HeidiSee AOL's top rated recipes and easy ways to stay in shape for winter. Guest guest
Hi Jim it has been a long time since I have been on the board and I am glad to hear how well you are doing!!!! Isn't it a wonderful time of year to celebrate our new lives! I am so thankful that I met up with Dr. A and his staff. This next week I have plans to snow shoe and do some cross country skiing! Who would have thought I would have any desire to do these things 3 years ago! Happy holidays to you and your family and I'm still planning on a get together this summer--hope you folks are too.
