I'll be there for surgery on the same day. Now you are not alone.

See you next week.

I went by myself too. And let me just say...I've proven to myself how tough and brave I can be. That being said, you are in wonderful hands. Dr. A and Dr. Campos and all of the nurses and staff are sooo wonderful. Ernesto is great. You're in the best hands ever. You'll never regret your decision...well...once the first few weeks are over :) It's the best decision you'll ever make for yourself!!

Hi,

I went by myself. I was excited, nervous and scared all at the same time. I want you to know that these are all normal feelings. I remember thinking to myself while on the plane, am I crazy for doing this? The answer is NO. You are doing something that is going to save your life. You will feel so good as the weight starts coming off. You will be taking less meds. People will start asking you how are you losing this much weight. When you saw someone lose weight you used to think--I wished I could lose weight like they have. For many of us we spent a lot of time losing the weight and then gained it back over time.

Dr. Aceves and his team of excellent doctors and nurses are going to give the tool so that you will achieve your goal. It will require work and effort on your part. It doesn't just melt off us us.

You are going to one of the best hospitals that is so clean. The people that you will deal with are going to do everything that they can to make you feel safe and well taken care of. If you need or want something, just ask them.

I will tell you that the first month after surgery is the hardest. You are changing everything about yourself when it come to eating that you have done for a lifetime. It is a process of relearning, and our old brains are going to try to tell you that this isn't what it is used to. It is OK, it will just keep getting better each day you do it.

So hang in there OK. We are always here for you. The best part about this entire thing is that you will be able to maintain your weight loss. You will have a lifestyle change. I never consider myself on a diet. I eat healthy and I eat small amounts of food.

Hugs, it is going to be OK. Keep in contact and let me know how you are doing.

Suzanne

I just got sleeved with on Tuesday, May 3rd. I would like to say a couple

of things.

First, because of this board I met my new life long (to be) friend . We met

on this board before surgery and it made it so wonderful to feel like I had a

friend there with me, even though we both just met. , you are amazing,

smart and handsome now. I can't wait to see how you transform. Thank you

bansters for all of your support and encouragement. You made it exciting to go

and get the surgery and answered all questions before I even started.

Second, for anyone that is considering doing the sleeve surgery but you are

wondering about the surgeons or Mexico - don't. The surgeons are top notch and

so is the staff. These professionals know their specialty and it shows. They

are always around to answer any questions that you may have, you never have to

have any pain and they work in the cleanest hospital I have ever seen.

I give them a 10 out of 10 stars.

I had the surgery 5 days ago and I feel really good, way better than I

anticipated. I just took a 15 minute walk and it felt good to get outside and

stretch a bit.

Thank you doctors, nurses, bandsters and my new friend . I can't wait to

show off my pictures someday soon.

Best regards,

Darcey

This just gave me an idea... I am going to start a post for people that might

be nervous (like I was) and make myself available to be contacted by ANYONE

planning on having this surgery with Dr. Aceves.

Darcey, I have already had thoghts of a one year anniversary reunion with you.

That is a great idea.

Anyone who is nervous, please contact . No one could have been more nervous

than he was when we started this journey. He can tell you first hand and help

you thru it.

, I am in for the reunion with you.
