Guest guest
, your fist fill can occur at 6 weeks after surgery. I have heard of some people who get them at 4-5 weeks but I really believe your system needs time to heal from the surgery and to just get adjusted to having the band. Subsequent fills will be determined by the amount of your restriction (how much and how often) you can eat and your weight loss. For some people a fill can last many months, for others only a matter of weeks. Fills are like fine tuning your engine. Some times you will need to add fluid to your tank and other times you will need to remove some liquid. Your body will tell you when it is time. When you are feeling hungry and not satisfied--and you are following the program--it may be time for another fill. There are no hard and fast rules with having a Band. We are all different. Good luck with your journey. Everything you read here about the staff and surgical experience is true. Most of us know from first hand experience that we definitely made the right decision.
