Guest guest
I have started to get that too. Sort of like an acid reflux. Last night my mom made me some tortilla soup with lots of tomatoes in it and after eating that, I could not sleep all night. I took two Tumms. I do not think tomatoes or sugar agree with my band after 7pm. When I wake up, I am coughing/choking with a little bit of spit up. I have to clear my throat a few times. It does not happen often but maybe a few times a month. I am about one year out. Still losing. I have no idea either...acid reflux? Guest guest
I too have started the acid reflux. Went to Kaiser and they found I have a hernia. I've had my band for 2 1/2 years and was at goal........now I am too thin. The last month I've lost over 10 pounds. I hope I get some answers today, but Kaiser seems to want to blame the band and not even consider any other options. Wish me luck. Guest guest
Joanne: The reflex is not a good thing. You need to be checked to see if you need an adjustment. If this continues unchecked, you may be endangering your band with slippage among other associated problems with continued reflex, i.e. esophogus, etc. I would suggest you go back on liquids for a few days until a doc can check you out. Guest guest
Ok is is reflux season? I have it, too! I am on Aciphex and mylanta, and I ran out of Aciphex on Saturday and INSTANTLY had a horrible attack of acid. I ran into Walgreens and grabbed a bottle of Mylanta and started chugging right there in the store! I think I have gone through a whole bottle from Saturday until now. I am on my way to the pharmacy to get my Aciphex right now. Question, though~ Is diarrhea associated with reflux? Or maybe Mylanta use? I thought it would make me constipated but the opposite is true. I am also going back on liquids for a couple of days because my system seems to be totally screwed up right now. It is a royal bummer, but I don't want to mess up Portia! (She's my wonderful little band). From: Virginia <herrell@...>Subject: Re: bubble up??? Guest guest
Thanks for the input...I will probably go to Mexicali this weekend. Friends and family are not happy w/ my "looks" and at times I feel great but the ongoing weight loss is an issue and I today, decided to liquidate myself for a couple more days. Sigh...and as an added interest husband and I will be in Tampa in a couple of weeks! joannebodeen@... bubble up???15 months from surgery and at goal weight and I am now having lots of bubble up stuff at night...sleeping very little.
