Hi,

Nexium NEVER worked well for me. I find the OTC Prilosec works soooooooo much better for me. So if you don't have much luck with the Nexium try Prilosec.

I'm scheduled for the sleeve with Dr Aceves on 12/8. I have GERD now controlled with Protonix and a small hiatal hernia, which Dr Aceves is going to repair at the time of surgery. If I don't take my medication, it comes right back. He recommends that patients w/GERD have the bypass but sometimes just repairing the hernia and losing weight sometimes takes care of it. Anyone else face that dilemma? How did you decide which surgery to have and how is your GERD now? I'll probably post this on OH too to get more opinions in case someone sees it on there. Thanks for any feedback you can give me.> > > > > > Priscilla> > >> >>
