Oh boy are you going to get some people ALL fried up on this board. I have to say this is the stupid crap that comes out of the mouths of UNEDUCATED people. This is nothing but scare tactics on her part.

You are a bright and intelligent lady. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS stuff and tell her if you EVER see her again there are so many of us that would love to educated her and set her straight. She happens to be just plain ignorant and I am not sure we could educated her. Do what you know is right. There are toooooooooooo many of us on here that know the truth and how much it has changed our lives forever.

Not sure what your point is for bringing this up on this board. Trust me, Dr.

Aceves does not have to lure patients; he's got plenty who want his services. I

think you just like to post these crazy topics to get a rise out of the people

here. It's a waste of time. If you're going to get the surgery done in Mexico,

then do it. If you're not, then don't. Enough time and explanations have been

oh boy....she is crazy. i assure you - i never had my eyes and mouth stapled - although at times i am sure my boyfirend wishes they would have stapled my mouth. the hospital is cleaner than any hospital i have seen in the states. not only that you will love your results i am sure you will meet with others at the airport and you will go thru your journey together. don't let others talk you out of it.

What rubbish! For what it is worth, I spoke with my PCP here in Canada this

morning about having my surgery in Mexico and he had no concerns whatsoever --

thought it was a very good plan in fact. He was also very positive about the

sleeve - mentioned that it hasn't been done for very long in Canada - and was

pleased that I had identified a surgeon with a lot of sleeve experience.

Actually, they used crazy glue on me and used all sorts of illegal drugs so I would not remember the bad experience I had there. While I was out, they also stole one of my kidneys. LMAO please. Wow.... Ignorance of what people dont know is insane. It is kinda like saying the devil wears red horns a pointy tail and carries a pitch fork ang giggles every time you say a bad word. give me a break. She obviously has not ever had a procedure done in Mexico or knows anyone who has.

I would go back for all of my helth care if I could. I just had surgery here last week and It comparitivly was a joke they literally made me feel as if i was on an assembly line. I asked to use the rest room right after I woke up the nurse sid why dont you get dressed while you are in there so I did she meet me at the door with a wheelchair and rolled me out of the hospital. I wasn"t even totally awake. I live fairly close to the border so where I live people go down to Mexico all

the time for medical services. The services you will receive down there are

just as good as if not better than what you will get in the United States. Yes,

there are some bad providers in Mexico but you know what? There are bad

providers here in the United States and every other country too! Whenever you

get any type of major medical service it is always a good idea to research your

provider to make sure he or she has a good reputation regardless of where they

are at. My physician tried to talk me out of going down there too. It is quite

simple as to the reason why myths like your get perpetuated. American doctors

simply can not compete with the price you can get down in Mexico so they have to

try to convince people that it is not safe in Mexico. This is an attempt to

save their business. I like to remind people when they try to tell me this that

Mexico is NOT a third world country! It is actually the 5th largest economy in

the world and it is the largest trading partner of the United States. I just

dealth with this last week when I went to the dentist. I need a dental implant

and here in the U.S. it would cost about $3500 and my dental plan will not cover

it. I told my dentist that I may go to Mexico to get one and he like every

other provider tried to tell me how bad Mexican dentists are. The funny thing

is that the dentist in Mexico that I will be going to was actually educated in

the United States and has in the past practiced in the United States. It is a

myth that Mexico has inferior care.

Absolutely! This Board is for patients of Dr. Aceves or those SERIOUSLY

considering becoming a patient. The OP doesn't sound like either one. Instead

she likes to post these silly stories or makes groundless accusations of the

real patients who've done nothing but try to help her. IMHO it's time for her to

Honestly, Akitresssmith what do you expect? You are talking to people that have

actually done research, we have had surgery, we know the staff, we happen to

have a huge amount of respect for these people and for you to suggest that they

would staple our eyes and mouth shut is beyond bizarre. It is also insulting to

our intelligence and our research. I can't believe you even had the gall to

Then there is the issue of how you insulted the staff. They bust their asses to

take really good care of people. It is without excuse.

Open a damn book, do some research, learn about Mexico, learn about places

outside of the US. Research is free.

Gail, I salute you for standing up to the " group " on this site, I have been

bashed here before and very seldom even read the comments that are e-mailed to

me anymore. We are all very scared just approching (sp?) the idea of going to

Mexico. I was convinced when I actually spoke with a friend (whom I of course

advised her not to go to Mexico before she went. I don't believe her comments

were any way offensive to Dr. A and his staff, they had been, the person that

pre-reads our comments to take out anything offensive would have done so. I

believe she is just a woman who is very confused and asking for help, here she

gets a slap in the face.
