,

I may be completely out in left field on this, because I haven't seen the

communication that led to this email you addressed to today. But! I've not

experienced Beam as best when noise is behind me. The whole purpose of Beam to

to create what I call a shield against the noise around me when I'm trying to

have a conversation with someone. Bear in mind that they have recently advised

that Beam be used with the sensitivity set at number 6, and it only works for

hearing sound within the range that Beam reaches. Also, I personally find that

in extremely noisy places (of course that is relative but I mean truly extremely

noisy places) and places with high ceilings--perhaps poor acoustics--Beam is of

limited use to me.

I tried Bean briefly a few times but could not get it to work for me when I

needed to hear. Someone on an earlier post had said it works better if you

have all the noise behind you, and if this is the case, it will have

limiting capability for those of us who are blind also. In adjusting to the

Freedom I was more inclined to stay with Ace with Auto Sensitivity than to

try ADRO but now want to try it.
