Guest guest
Hi Patsy, This list is mainly for deaf folks, people who are looking for information about cochlear implants. But there are a lot of deafblind members, and they are certainly welcome here as well. Nice that one of the senses can be restored. And often when a person has one disability, like blindness, and then gets another like hearing loss, they feel SO ALONE. Like nobody else in the world has this problem. So it is a good source for deafblind people to know about. There are some conditions, like Usher syndrome, that cause varying degrees of hearing and vision loss. Usually progressive. So many folks who have lost the hearing, but still have some vision are on the list. And vice versa. Great thing about this list is it's open for everyone. We're here to help out in any way we can. The Original From: MSBUDDY1951@... Subject: Re: OT Anyone know Jodie Rodrigues? I want to ask a question. Do we have more deaf blind people on this or is there more deaf. Is this mainly for the deaf blind, I just wondered because there seems to be so many here. And talking about the AADB. I hope I have not started another chain of letters as there was about the " false promises " last week. Just interested. Patsy
