In this case, I believe that the writer, Dr. House, has presented information contrary to contemporary technology, in the suggestion of the original single electrode CI for cost containment .. allowing more universal access to the devices. I believe that this approach is flawed, given the minimal benefits of the single electrode CI from the dark ages... Better be that of lowered costs from the CI makers, and more universal insurance coverage for the latest in multi-electrode technology from AB, Cochlear and Medel. Just my humble opinion, do understand. What do YOU think?
