Guest guest
Hi , Your audiologist may well have the Microlink system at the office, and you can try it out. Also, ask your school if they will provide it for you as an accomodation. I've never needed to use one, but if I did, that would be the one for me. Hate to have wires connected to stuff around me. There is also an FM system that you wear around your neck, like a long necklace. Sound is what I'm thinking. Again, the speaker uses a microphone, but you wear the *necklace* around your neck, turn your 3G to telecoil, and you're all set. The only thing you have is around your neck. I tried it out at a convention and was amazed. And if you have your telecoil set for 25/75 mix, you can hear others around you as well if you need to. Nucleus Volunteer Post lingual - Auto Immune disorder I'd love to take a look at the Microlink mentioned. That would eliminate all of the cords and such. While I don't mind the cords per se, they do make reading Braille and realtime captioning difficult. I also wouldn't have to worry about carrying the Comtek transmitter, receiver, environmental mic, unidirectional mic, 9-volt batteries and extra DAI cord. Whew! That would eliminate 50% of the equipment I carry to school. LOL!
