Guest guest
Not only can the nerve atrophy, but in the first six years of life, nerves are pruning themselves as we grow. A nerve that isn't used won't grow with us. This is one reason it is so important to implant children as early as possible. The nerve that is there may work just fine, but it has limited capacity for hearing because it didn't develop normally. Beth The mere imparting of information is not education. Above all things, the effort must result in making a man think and do for himself.-- G. Woodson
