Guest guest
Hi , With the 3G I got 2 cords. So I got one short one to wear the processor on the left side, where the implant is actually done, and a longer (11 inch) cord so I can move the processor to the right. The magnet section must stay where the implant is - it connects via a magnet externally to the internally implanted magnet. Anyway, when I'm riding around in the summer with the windows rolled down, I move the processor to the right hand side, and listen to my radio or CD player. And if I have passengers in the car, I use the longer cord so I can hear them. Great advantage. the Original From: Sprest2427@... Subject: Re: one implant It is interesting to read about this because I've never heard anything with my right ear. I think it is neat that there is a longer cord so you can put the processor on the other ear. That will be interesting for me. I was once encouraged to get such a cord and additional hearing aid for my right ear so that I would get sound input from that side but I was so used to and comfortable with hearing sounds only on my left side and knowing all the " tricks of the trade " to use that side more that I couldn't see the need to spend more $ to get one. Plus I was younger and I didn't want to mess with the cord. But here I am hoping to get a cord. in SC hopeful CI candidate
