Guest guest
hey you guys This is funny...why does AB have to donate the inner part of the CI?All that is needed is a replica of the prosessor and some good, strong tape to hold the transmitter /receiver on Devon's head! This whole thing makes me very uncomfortable as I personally know a wonderful gal who REALLY lost her hearing to meningitis and was implanted. The implant does not work for her. I also know others who have had meningitis, lost their hearing as well as they are experiencing many other health problems, one being severe balance problems..Devon had a swift and miraclulous recovery.According to the press release, Devon already knows that his CI will be a huge success. I hope he doesn't pretend to hear better than he does with his real-life hearing. He can't begin to express just what a miracle the CI is .Only someone who has gone through this can . There are so many real life CI stories out there.. Dora Weber Nucleus Volunteer Advocate dora_weber@...
