Guest guest
I woke up this morning hearing the usual high pitched sound I've been hearing since my surgery. However, as the day went on, it gradually disappeared! Just to make sure this wasn't something I was imagining, I connected my right HA and FM system to my stereo, listened for several minutes and then turned it off. I immediately noticed complete silence in my left ear (no constant high pitched beep, whooshing or freight train type sounds). Both of my ears have been aided since 1985, so I wonder if the lack of a HA in my left ear fooled my brain into thinking it hears a sound that isn't there? Perhaps the tinnitus is finally starting to subside. I hope so! I'll let you all know what tomorrow brings. Implanted: 12/22/04 Activation date: 1/18/05 (20 days and counting!)
