Guest guest
Hi, Everyone, I want to thank all of you who were able to respond to my question about a stitch seemingly trying to make its way out of my implant incision. I have decided that I will definately have it checked out by a qualified surgeon. My own was excellent, but having not ever suggesting rechecks once the initial stitches were removed, I don't feel comfortable going back. I so appreciate you all taking the time to help me. - Re: elevated sleep - if you want to remain sleeping in your bed, try elevating the mattress - not sleeping on multiple pillows. When my kids had colds I would put a pillow or two under the head of their mattress. This elevated it without the danger of pillows, and for adults would be without the discomfort of trying to adjust several pillows directly under your head. Just a thought..... - good to " hear " from you buddy! - please tell Howie I loved his poem! Sorry he is unable to continue with us for awhile, but we will continue to wish him well. To all - a very happy and healthy - and it wouldn't hurt if a little wealthy - New Year! ) Jackie
Guest guest
My surgeon does yearly checkups. I saw him four or five times in the first year after surgery, and have seen him at least once a year since then. He even checks in on me sometimes when I have an appointment with the audiologist to adjust the map. Last year I was having a lot of ear infections and he insisted that I let him check it out. He also made me get a flu shot and a menningitis shot while I was in his office. =( That part I didn't like so well. LOL Is that not the norm? Whether it is or not, I find it reassuring that he's so concerned with his patients' welfare. Beth
