Hi ,

Do you drive a lot? If so, then the right ear would be a good choice,

since it's to the inside of the car, and you can hear the passengers. If

you are a passenger more often than a driver, then the left ear would be

the choice for the same reason - implant toward the center of the car

where the music is from the radio, and the conversation is.

I'm primary driver and implanted on the left, so I have to use the

long cord and put the processor over the right ear if I'm driving with

passengers. And when I roll the windows down in the spring.

Subject: Which Ear?

Ok, I'm probably jumping ahead a little bit but I'm curious about how

people chose what ear to be implanted.

I have no hearing in either ear now, both ears had " normal " hearing

until 5 months ago (deaf overnight). If the doctor feels one ear would

be better to implant medically I'd go with that one, but if not how do

you decide?

I'm right handed so I'm thinking maybe my left ear to give that side

more work to do!!

Any suggestions? Thanks!
