Guest guest
Hi, Nina, I read where you say you'd like to change audiologists but would feel uncomfortable. Just wanted to let you know a friend of mine felt the very same way. She finally decided to go for it - changed - and is very happy. She has since seen her old audi in passing at the office and there is no problem or discomfort. Sometimes it is just the thing you need to restart your progress. Good luck. Guest guest
Jackie, Thanks for that! I'm really going to think about it. I seriously want to change, just for a second opinion, if not for anything else. It's just so hard, but I have some months to think it over. Guest guest
Nina, This is a little off-topic, but it does relate to the idea of changing audis. I had a psychiatrist last year who refused to treat my rapid cycling and mania. Everytime I told him I was rapid cycling or manic, he told me to see him in 3 months. This went on for 1.5 years. (Why I put up with his behavior for that long, I have no clue.) I finally decided to put my foot down. I reported him to my state's medical board as well as Medicaid/Medicare and found a new psychiatrist. I'm now working with a wonderful psychiatrist who takes my treatment seriously. We get along great and I feel very comfortable with him. A change in audis may be exactly what you need. Guest guest
, Thanks, and you're right! When it comes to your medical health, it really has to be your decision. I was placed with this audiologist, I did not choose her. I hear that she is fantastic and everyone in my support group who has her loves her. However, I just don't think she may be the best one for my situation. I'm so glad I have some time to ponder this. I already have in mind who I'd like to see. I'm going to look in to it. Thanks, so much, it helps to hear others support! Nina Re: Re: Changing audiologists | Nina, | | This is a little off-topic, but it does relate to the idea of changing audis. Guest guest
Nina, You're welcome! If it makes you feel any better, I'm now doing great on my new med regimen. It took my new psychiatrist 2 months to figure out what meds would help me as opposed to a psychiatrist who just wanted to collect his fee of $100 for a 5-10 minute appointment. That should help encourage you about finding an audi that you can trust and have a good professional relationship with.
Guest guest
, Again thank you, and more importantly, I'm SO happy to hear that you are doing great on your new med regimen!
