Deborah Stroud Freedom Body Worn Processor FDA Approved - Message From Cochlear We have received approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the Nucleus® Freedom™ Bodyworn controller . Its small size, splash proof design and user-friendly features are industry firsts. They will bring users a more natural, interactive experience! The Bodyworn controller completes the innovative and modular Freedom system. Cochlear successfully introduced the Nucleus Freedom implant and Freedom processor with the ear level controller. We are very excited about the positive reaction to the Freedom system. We have been implanting the new Freedom implant since early April, and have been shipping Freedom BTE processors since May 1st. Cochlear is now building stock of the bodyworn controller, so we do not anticipate beginning shipping of the bodyworn controller until July. Until that time, all new patients will be fit with the Freedom BTE. For our smaller recipients, they will have the option of attaching the Freedom BTE to a 28cm cable and wearing it in a pouch that Cochlear provides. Guest guest
I started on the Lex. about 10 days ago. But I've been on Celexa which is chemically similar to the Lex. so my system was already acclimated to it's chemical components. It has been a very smooth transition going from one drug to another. Sue -- Re: WOW !!! How long did it take for it to kick in for you? I've been on Lexapro for six weeks and I'm not sure if it's doing anything for me. It's the first antidepressant I've been on and I'm not sure what I should expect. > The Lexapro kicked in yesterday and I cannot believe the difference between > it and the other Antidepressants I have been on. Guest guest
Thanks, I'll keep you posted on any weight gain. Sue -- Re: WOW !!! I am so happy to hear that. Keep us posted especially if you notice any weight gain down the road. That way it will help me to know if Lex does increase the body weight. It may be different for everyone. Again, good to hear you feel so much better. --- Sue Chapman <chapmn47@...> wrote: > The Lexapro kicked in yesterday and I cannot believe > the difference between > it and the other Antidepressants I have been on. > I'm on 20 mg and I am more > alert and energetic than I ever believed I could be. > One of the > manifestations of my depression is that I have no > energy and am tired all of > the time.
