Guest guest
Hi again : I saw your post " Just recently I've noticed how nicely the sound of the DigiFocus II combines with my CI. Today I jokingly told audi that I felt like I was 15 years old again because I could hear binaurally for the first time in 20 years. LOL! " I also wore my transposition HA (it crunched high pitch sounds down to where I had hearing) with my CI for a number of years prior to receiving my second implant. I could always tell when the HA batteries went out becuase there was a sudden change in how things sounded (flat, less full) and that I would have to listen harder. Music sounded terrible with just the CI compared to with both CI and HA. You are just discovering what many of us have already discovered - binaural hearing is usually better. I do recall in the beginning the HA seemed to overwhelm the CI in noise - but we quickly adjusted the HA settings and I wore both the CI and HA at lower settings than when worn alone. I enjoy reading your posts! You are making wonderful progress! {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} Carol in WI
