Guest guest
Hi , Your comment of being unaware of your processor on your ear reminds me of when I first got the Freedom. I was totally in love with my 3G and even though I always upgrade without question, I grieved the loss of that processor which was so easy to maneuver for me. In pre upgrades " try ons " of the Freedom, I thought it was designed very comfortably. Yet when I got it, it seemed to be so big and bulky compared to my comfortable 3G and the controls were the pits to handle. Nothing I did make them work right. My husband several times gave up waiting to communicate with me because I couldn't get the t-coil that I was using to listen to TV off so that I could hear him. During the learning process, I refused to let myself take the processor off to manipulate the controls as I knew that wasn't the long term answer. Now 3 months down the road from upgrade day, I don't feel the processor at all when it is on. It seems like it is part of me. The controls that I fought are amazing easy now, leaving me wondering what the problem was when I first got it and hated them. New glasses, and new hearing aids and those awful ear molds would do the same as I went through the initial learning/adjustment curve. I must say that we are very adaptable creatures. Cheers, Ruth 19 years of happy hearing with my CI Survivor of 6 processor adjustments said " Finally I get up to look other places, and reach to my ear, and there it sits - the turned off processor. Shows just how comfortable it is if you aren't even aware you're wearing it when it's not turned on. "
