If you are hearing a hum around the computer and your T Coil is not on, you

are probably hearing the fan running. Whisper would bring that in closer to

you too. Every time I have a mapping, this is the first thing I hear when

the audiologist turns the sound back on and I always comment. It’s not a

sound I enjoy. Additionally, you do have a volume map so you are going to

hear all the noise.

I think your brain is adapting to the sound. It’s been a long time since

you’ve heard some of those noises and you’ll need to let your brain filter

out the annoying ones. People who hear normally have to do this too. Since

you do have a migraine problem, maybe you should take a break every few

hours instead of wearing the processor all day. This is just a suggestion

but this might help you during the adjustment period.
