Guest guest
Hi : is exactly correct about starting over with each new map in the beginning. While I did not totally lose all discrimination with the new maps, it definitely did seem reduced immediately after a mapping session in the early months. Now, 8 years later there is less of a change each time. Some sessions require more change than others, particularly since I am now bilateral. Interesting for me, was how the C levels kept coming down after we introduced the second CI to the picture. I still do not have the ears quite as " balanced " as I would like them to be. My original implant seems to continue to be more sensitive all the time - even after 1.5 years! You are doing great - just keep it up! {{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}} Carol
