Hi :

Your processor is still under warranty, so I would let your implant center

know of this and request a replacement. Have you tried the amplified

neckloop by ClearSounds? People rave about it as well as HATIS.

I am not big on putting any accessories in my processor's accessory port - I

think it goes back to the days when I had the plug on the bottom of my HA

and could direct connect things into the BTE HA - I did not like the

" tugging " feeling on my ear. Hence, I have always leaned towards using the

telecoil option with no direct connect especially since I have had my CI. I

suspect the design of the port cover is to insure it is moisture proof and

designed to keep the cover handy (the 3G had a plastic cover that was so

easy to lose and challenging to get back on).
