Just want to chime in and congratulate you on your activation and new

journey into sound. I don't post often myself, but your posts have

always been such an inspiration to me. You managed to stay positive

through insurance snags and set backs, and its so nice to see your

perseverence and bright outlook pay off for you.

You go girl!

I haven't dug out my talking clocks yet, but that's something I'll probably

do tomorrow. <grin>

So far today, I've heard Tigger bark, scratch and shake her head. My oh my!

Is she a noisy little girl but I love it!

Speaking of Tigger, I have to tell you what happened yesterday at my

activation. My audiologist warned me that some loud sounds will be difficult

to tolerate. She mentioned Tigger's bark at which time I asked if I could

have Tigger bark in order to see how I would react. I signed and voiced the

word " speak " to Tigger several times, but no reaction. Then I realized

why...she still had her harness on. LOL! Instead of removing it I told my

audi that I'd see if I could get her to bark at another time.

Low and behold that moment came this afternoon when I asked Tigger to bark

on command. OMG!! She has a *very* loud bark for such a small dog (45 pound

lab)!! (You could say the same thing about her mother but that's an entirely

different story. LOL!)

And yes, the birds were awesome. Totally awesome!! :)

I bet Tigger sounded wonderful! I didnt hear Gimlet the first 2 weeks

in class. LOL She has a loud voice too. Does Tigger dance? It is so

funny to hear these dogs dancing on a hard floor.

Yes, Tigger dances but I can't hear her yet -- nor can I stay in step with

her. LOL! However I can hear her collar jingling and I even heard her make a

playful growl this afternoon. It's great to hear my baby again!!

Maybe you, Tigger, Gimlet and I can all share a dance when I come to

Portland? That should be interesting with 4 feet and 8 paws. LOLOL!

Okay, now I'm *really* going to bed. LOL!

Nightly News at 5:30 with reports on a strange

sight....that of 2 humans and 2 dogs dancing in the streets. is

surprised to learn that the dogs are guides and the humans are, well, he

thinks that they are escaped loonies and is trying to get in to interview

everyone. He gives up when Gimlet and Tigger break away long enough to wash

his face.

Hehe. Ok, well , another new exciting day here. Am looking forward

to the day's story. LOL
