Guest guest
Oh boy. Today Annika had to go in to be hooked up for a 24 hour EEG. She has had regular EEG's done before but really had no idea on how this was going to work. Well, first of all my little peanut has to go the next 24 hours without hearing. We had to put a cap on to keep the electrodes on and so there would be no way to remove her headpiece when it was time for bed and then she gets good use from her batteries but never 24 hours. And then there would be all the goo they use to attach the electrodes and I did not want that around her headpiece. We did do the routine one with her implants on but that only takes about an hour. And then she has to carry the recorder on her back in a backpack. So now instead of carrying two pounds of weight on each of her sides(one on each side) she now has 3 pounds on her back. She has balance problems anyway so this is going to be an experience!!!! I think she has fallen asleep again but since she only napped about 1/2 hour today this is probably a good thing and then again maybe not. I have to somehow get her to go to sleep with all this stuff on her and she moves around all night long. I just hope that I don't find all the electrodes stuck to her crib tomorrow morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So she is this little peanut with a net stocking wrapped around her head and then a bandanna on top then she has to carry this backpack that is about half of her length. All I hope is that this all goes well and we don't have to repeat anything. I just thought I would share my day today. Oh veh!!!! Guest guest
, My thoughts are with you. I can't imagine what Annika must be thinking/feeling right now and I would wonder if she's puzzled at the " extra weight " and not hearing for the time being. 24 hours will go by quickly, I trust. Are you going to give Annika a reward -- does she have a favorite food? Ice cream? Surely not a mocha! Chris

Chris No definitely not mocha(I do want her to sleep!!!) And besides she doesn't like them. But DQ ice cream may be in order. She may even have an extra present in her Easter basket this weekend. ---------- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. Guest guest
What a gal! You must be so proud. I could visualize all this after seeing her beautiful picture on the website. She’s amazing and so is her mom. No repeats are in order.
