Hi

I am sorry that you have lost your hearing so suddenly.I had a gradual loss over

the period of about 30 years and was profoundly deaf for 10 yrs before receiving

my 1ST CI.I received my 2nd CI 4 yrs later and I do like hearing with both ears

very,very much.

Cochlear Americas did bilateral research(both at the same time) several years

ago and the results of the study were very good.I believe that there are quite a

few simultaneous ly implanted recipients.More and more recipients are being

sequentially implanted.

I have a published book,I Danced-A Cochlear Implant odyssey ,in which I share my

experiences with bilateral implants. There is also a submission included about

the Cochlear Americas bilateral study.I am offering complimentary copies to

anyone who would like to receive a book. The only expense is 3.00 for shipping

and handling. If you or anyone else is interested please

E-mail me.

Thanks dora
