Guest guest
Hello Larry, There might be others but I know the Shea Clinic does implants. I saw a Dr. Emmett many years ago. I also have a friend who go her ci there 16 years ago, and still doing great. We are both some six hundred miles away and our doctors sent us there. I am scheduled for my ci on the 18th (locally) thanks to some wonderful doctors now being in our area. Hope that info helps. Warmly, CI scheduled Jan 18 bchief <bchief@...> wrote: Hello everyone, I'm very sorry I haven't been looking at my email lately but I have been doing a lot of listening mostly to court tv. My favorite is forensic files. I listen to case after case. My listening ability has gotten better and the last time I was tested it was 90%. I am very happy. I went to Monette last Wednesday ahead of a huge snowstorm. I was able to spend the day with Sharon. I had a real test trying to understand my mother because she has a hearing loss and she is in denial. Therefore, she keeps the tv blasting at all times. My ci came through the trial with flying colors. , I'm glad your surgery was successful, and I look forward to hearing about your activation. My mother and I are trying to buy a house in Monette so I don't know how long I will be here. At first I dreaded it, but now I look forward to to it. Where is the ci center in Memphis? I will be a lot closer to Memphis than Little Rock. I guess I will go for now. ttys Larry
Guest guest
Larry, I don't have cable TV anymore, but when I did, I used to love Court TV. I became so addicted that it was the only channel I watched 90% of the time. LOL! I'm really glad you had the chance to see your mother. I know she's in denial about her hearing loss, but when she notices how well you're able to hear/communicate with your CI, she will decide to get hearing aids. I hope so... I'm also very, very glad you had the chance to spend time with Sharon. I hope you and your mother are able to find a nice home that won't be too far from Sharon. Take care and do keep us posted on how you're doing. Don't forget those CI moments as well!! <smile> ((((Hugs)))) Implanted: 12/22/04 Activation date: 1/18/05 (19 days and counting!)
