Now 50 years or so old, the Telecoil is still the most popular means of

" connecting " to the phone, hearing loop systems, ALDs and yes, even headphones!

Also of course the DAI (Direct Audio Input) which many prefer for connection to

ALDs and such as the TV or boombox with the personal audio and TV/HIFI cables

for the Freedom.

I heard that Cochlear talk about the Freedom BTE have an

Not yet in the Freedom, but who knows what the future will bring.

However, the MicroLink Freedom comes pretty close, in the only FM receiver

designed specifically for a CI model, with a sleek interface, and no extra

adapter or boot required! Phonak and Cochlear did a nice job on that one!

There IS a hearing aid with an integrated FM receiver from Phonak, the iLink,

but none for any CI today.

Trivia: MicroLink is celebrating it's 10th birthday this year!

If this

No. The MicroLink receives FM radio signals, the Telecoil any electromagnetic

signals (including buzz and stuff like that in some cases.) <G>

What buttons must we press to access the Built-In

Beyond my scope, sorry.
