I was getting problems, during several months, getting closed caption on

certain stations such as CBS,and PBS.I have mentioned this to you folks, not too

long ago. I notified Direct TV,many, many times. As early as March, they sent me

a satellite receiver replacement,as part of my protection plan. I sent back

my own that I had originally purchased at a high price. I had Direct TV since

1995. Last month I decided that enough was enough, so I switched to DISH, and

now I do not have any problems with the captioning at all. This morning I

received an email from Direct TV, requesting I pay $200 for early

cancellation, since I got the replacement I had " committed " to use them for

another 2 years. The

replacement was their idea, thinking that it would solve the problem. Well, I

am not paying!! Moses Katz

Moses,

Good luck on that one. Read the contract. If you can find anything

that works for you such as defective equipment or lack of accomodations

(which is what the closed captioning is), then you can tell them to kiss

that $200 bye bye. LOL Seriously tho, prepare your case so you can get

them off your back for good. I watch several small claims court programs on

tv and find that those who do their research and document everything have

the upper hand. Just dont let it slide in the hopes they will forget about

you.

You know what! I was just cursing this morning about it.

Anyone noticed that Comcast aren't offering enough CC on it on-demand

movies? I wanted to watch All Dogs Christmas Carol as I enjoyed " all dogs go

to

heaven " which it was CC.. this Christmas Carol version isn't CC!

Shall we all group up and file complaint against Comcast?
