I am writing to invite you to attend an aural rehabilitation

workshop designed specifically for cochlear implant users!

Sponsored by Advanced Bionics, this interactive workshop

entitled " Designing a Home Therapy Program for the Adult Cochlear

Implant Recipient " will be presented primarily by rehabilitation

audiology experts from the National Technical Institute for the Deaf

(NTID). The full day workshop will be held the day prior to the

SHHH National Convention at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington DC

on June 29, 2005. Early registration is by June 17th, late

registration is after June 17. Further description and the agenda

of the program follow below and on the attached registration

brochure. Registration can occur via mail or fax using the attached

brochure (which is also downloadable from our events calendar at

http://www.bionicear.com/seminars). Space is limited, so register

early!

> The goal of this one-day workshop is to aid cochlear implant users

in designing their own home aural rehabilitation program.

Participants will also gain exposure to assistive technology devices

that can improve the listening experience (we encourage you to bring

your own connecting cables). The majority of the workshop will focus

on giving participants opportunities to evaluate a wide variety of

available resources through direct hands on practice. Upon

completion of the workshop, individuals will have identified

materials for personalizing their own home-based aural

rehabilitation program.
