what ear to get implanted ?????????????

I am trying to make up my mind as to which ear I should get

implanted .My left ear (the bad ear)has been without hearing for about

the last 10 years and my right ear(the good ear ) has been without

most of its hearing since the 25th of May '06.I am using a hearing

aid in it at the moment ,I am hoping for surgery sometime in August

Any advice on the matter would be most welcomed
