Guest guest
Hi , Since you need to use the phone for work, would your company consider buying the part for you as a " reasonable accommodation " ? Never hurts to ask. Glad my telecoil is built in. The 90 day warranty reminds me of a $3,000 sewing machine I bought a while back. 25 years warranty. All right. Sewed everything on it, and burned out the motor 1 years and 2 days after I bought it. So I took it back and found out the small print said 25 years warranty excluded the motor. WHAT? What else needs to be guaranteed? Because I cannot imagine anything else on a steel sewing machien NEEDING a 25 year warranty. I raised hell about it, and got the motor replaced, but it took a LOT of arguing back and forth. So always read the fine print. And see if the company will spring for the part you need. The Original Well good and bad things have happened this week Bad is that my telephone adapter is no longer working..There is a short on the cord that is creating tons of static.. With that I contacted Bionics only to be told that there is a 90 day warranty on this part and seeing that I have had it since Febrauary it is not covered.. For $80.00 they will send me another one..That is so nice of them, seeing that this whole sebang has cost my insurance company over $60,000.00 they only warrant certain parts for 90 days.. Now sad part is I do 99.9% of my job on the telephone and this helps me greatly having this part.. So since it is not working my job has gone downhill and stress time are upon me again.. Until I can come up with the $80.00 to buy another one I guess that work days are on high stress and limited... But I also had good news.. I was told my new system is at the medical center and they are just waiting to hear that I can be called in to get it up and running.. But that also may not help me with my hearing on the phone as well as the adapter has.. They are hoping to be able to let me have it before the first of the year.. They were given 5 units but have 70 people waiting on them.. Luckily I am the first that is to get one.. And very much hope that it helps if/when I get it to hear on the telephone.. Thanks for listening.
