Hi ,

Dictionaries are also handy for smacking someone upside the head! I

can never look at just the word I'm searching for. Always end up reading

lots more. Truly a book of knowledge.

Meanwhile, a good idea to remember is PEOPLE FIRST. DISABILITIES

SECOND. I don't think of myself as being deaf, although I am. It is

not a defining adjective about me. Rarely even think of myself as deaf.

So, you did good raising that kiddo. Keep up the good work.

Kyersten gave no thought to including " deaf " as she chose words and

phrases to describe her mom. Somewhere along the line, I must have

done something right. That she doesn't view me as one who is defined

by a disability,
