A different kind of CI Moment you might enjoy

Hi Everyone!

Last night I had a big chuckle at myself, that I thought I might

post for a change of perspective. You will understand what I mean

in a moment. I'm kind of " quirky " at times, so take me with a grain

of salt.

As many might know, I am bilateral of the past year and a half. The

thing that can happen when you have two ears, is that if one set of

batteries die, you do not completely go " off air " with one remaining

working implant. In my case, usually within a few hours of each

other the second processor will also die. In a " senior moment " last

night I apparently forgot this!

So here is the funny moment. I was in the kitchen, heating up a

warm cup of tea. All of a sudden I paniced because the microwave

seemed to die just as I hit the " start " button! It just couldn't be

ture! My microwave DIED!?? I hit start again, and sure enough -

nothing, nada a sound! I started to go tell the " news " to my hubby

when all of a sudden I realized - it's just too quiet! You guessed

it - my second processor " died " at the exact moment I hit " start " on

the microwave!

Well, this is not nearly so exciting as the wonderful and touching

stories we are reading of all the " turn on " days or REAL CI moments -

but I thought you all might appreciate the reverse CI moment!

Keep your wonderful stories coming - they are so much fun for

the " oldies " like me to read (and I mean oldie as in long time

implant user!) I am forever YOUNG!
