Dear Dan and Family,

Very sorry to hear about the passing of your father. What a blessing that

you got to see him only last month and he called you " fat " . You must take

after him with his sense of humor. Your mother will need your help and

guidance during this time.

I will add him to my prayers tonight.

Dear Dan,

Please accept my sincere sympathy and sadness to you

and yours on the passing of your father.

Sounds as if he did the best he could for as long as he

could. I am sure he will be greatly missed by many.

So cute ...as you were leaving..and he said " you sure

are getting fat. " You have a great sense of humor Dan,

and having a laugh about it, and then explaining the

real reason why was the best way to explain it. I am

sure he sympathized with you about the " damn " docs,

sounds like he's had his share of them. Now, he will

rest in peace with no more sickness or pain.

Have a safe trip there, and if you have any brochures

explaining the disease, share them with your relatives

to help them understand the " new you. "

We will miss you Dan, please know we care.

WIth Love & sympathy,

~~Tricia~~

My Dear Friends,

I just got word about a hour and a half ago that my Father passed

away this morning. He has been living at the Ft. Dodge Kansas State

Soldiers Home at Ft. Dodge (Dodge City) Kansas for about two and a

half years now. He has been battleing something that many Doctors

and many hospitals and clinics have given him many diagnosis for

since about 1973. I can remember being told by his doctor way back

then that he would be in a wheelchair most likely. Well my Father

would not stand for that and walked using a cane for many years

before finally haveing to use a walker. I am sitting here being very

thankful that I did get to visit with him last month. He was not in

very good shape at all then, they had him very heavy sedated. He

did know me, even if he was drifting in and out of sleep. As my

mother and I was about to leave, he looked at me and said, " You sure

are getting FAT " . I laughed and told him it was the damn medicine

that the damn doctors give me.

I will be gone for a while. and I and how ever many of the

kids can make it, will be traveling to Kansas to be with Mom and for

the funeral.

Dearest ,

I am so very sorry, please know that your Mother will be right there with you

when you have your surgery and your activation. I know my Mom was as I lost her

before my implant too, but I knew she was right there with me holding my hand

during my fears and uncertainty. And she laughed at what my husband said for my

first words after activation.

I wish you strength and love during this time. You, your Mother and your family

are in my prayers.

I will miss you my dear Mother. May you rest in peace forever.

Dear ,

Tears came to my eyes as I read your message... only if she had stayed

a few more days to see you go for implant surgery... but it was not to

be. I share your pain, and I don't know what to say. Thank you for

letting us know -- my thoughts are with you.

Love, Chris

Dear ,

I am so sorry to read your news about the passing of your Mom. There is very

little hurts more than losing a parent and even though you knew her cancer was

terminal, now that she's no longer here, I'm sure you are suffering with grief.

Hopefully you feel some comfort because her passing was in her sleep. She's now

at peace knowing that you are going to be fine and that you are going to have

hearing. My Mom passed away at 77 also and she too was very ill before her

passing. I remember it well and I also remember how difficult it was thru the

illness knowing that there was no hope of a cure. The love you have shared with

your Mom will never leave you. She will remain in your heart as my Mom does in

mine.

My sincere condolences to you and your family. Please know that my thoughts and

prayers will be with you thru these coming days which I'm sure will be

difficult.

Hugs!

Alice

At least she asked a lot of questions about CI than nothing. You have my

sympathy for the loss of your mother. It'll be her very best Christmas

present- seeing Jesus! Same thing to my great-aunt shortly before last

Christmas.

Wishing you a best luck with your upcoming surgery!
