hi i am sorry that i havent been online check my emails from CI groups. I have

been busy lately I am getting CI surgery on May 4th next month. also i found out

how i became deaf, i realized that i wasnt born deaf but i became deaf how? my

doc found the CT scan in my inner ear both. he found the tube that got enlarge

called vestibular Augudet not sure how to spell. which mean my ear drum

everything in my both ear is fine nothing wrong expect my tube in my both ear

has enlarge which mean when i get CI i will might be 100% hearing like hearing

people maybe depend how i hear well. also I am hoping that i can hear the phone

because i have cellphone sidekick for tex message and emails so i want to talk

on the phone badly. i am praying that i can hear on phone! i am so exticed about

CI surgery but nervous very nervous, my legs is shaking. it coming soon. i

better prepar everything what i want hear. maybe i should make list what i want

to hear something. my first thing i want to hear is the

song called Picture by kid rock, so i can know what it like as different before

and after. i also cant wait to hear the dolphins because i have always dream

want hear the beautiful sound of dolphin like squeking stuff like that. Wow I

felt so ready but nervous lol thanks for read it. I wrote essay about deaf and

hearing worlds if u guys would like to read it infor me soon i will email it

Did you ever learn how to speak Chinese or Japanese -- these are so

difficult languages to speak as they are all in tones, depending on

whom you are speaking with. I've read that a lot of deaf people are

looked down as imbeciles in both societies because they cannot master

the intricacies of speaking the language and " lose face " for everyone

involved in the culture.
