Guest guest
Alice, My three sisters, two neighbors and three very good friends of mine will be coming to my activation. I invited several other people, but whether or not they can attend will depend on their work schedule. I just found out that my friend who served as my interpreter for several of my CI evaluation appointments will be my interpreter that day. It should be very exciting for all of us -- especially a good friend of mine who is totally blind and has been slowly losing his hearing gradually. He's very interested in following my progress with a CI and may consider one for himself when the time is right. Implanted: 12/22/04 Activation date: 1/18/05 (21 days and counting!) Guest guest
Lol! You'd better check with your audi! We could only get 4 extra people in the room for my activation. If anyone else had shown up they would have had to lean in the door or wait in the hall. hugs, Pam Alice: Activation Alice, My three sisters, two neighbors and three very good friends of mine will be coming to my activation. Guest guest
Pam, I didn't even think about that. LOL! If we can only get 4 people in the room at my audi's office, then my 3 sisters will be joining me as well as my friend who is losing his hearing. I'll definitely check with my audi about this first. <grin> Implanted: 12/22/04 Activation date: 1/18/05 (21 days and counting!) Guest guest
, Great you will have family and friends at your activation, and that will make it a memorable occasion. My activation was quiet with my dog guide, audie and interpreter.
Guest guest
, I had a difficult time trying to decide who should attend my activation because I wanted as many people as possible to share this moment with me. Since the appointment will take 2-3 hours, I will need two tactile interpreters which will mean 2 less people in the room. My sister will bring her digital camera so we can record everything. Perhaps I'll make copies on DVD or VHS for people who can't attend. Implanted: 12/22/04 Activation date: 1/18/05 (20 days and counting!)
