Guest guest
Hi Beth, I just wanted to let you know that Nucleus has the same types of promotional information and gifts for parents and children who are on the CI Journey. The stuffed toy is a beautiful Koala bear who wears a CI. I believe AB actually started doing this after they saw the success of this from Cochlear. Alice " BTW, parents considering CI's for their children can get a coloring/story book, BTE decals, a cartoon video, and more free from Advanced Bionics, as well as a packet of information, including trouble shooting guides for the BWP, BTE, and FM systems for educators, also free. They also have the stuffed monkey, Bionic Buddy that can be purchased, but does come with the child's CI. Buddy wears a CI, and has both a BWP and BTE to help the child understand the CI. There is also a free video that documents the story of an 8 yr old with a CI. There are some really great resources there. I plan to try to find out in Nucleus has similar resources so that if I have a student with a Nucleus CI, I will know at least a little bit about it.
