The good news is that your CI is still under warrenty so what you need to do is talk to your surgeon about reimplantation. Did your doctor go over this with you? He said I would be very surprised what the Freedom will deliver with my reimplantation. IMO you are taking the correct route by staying with your surgeon who you have the good relationship with. I'm surprised that any medical or legal person would ever admit to having made a mistake though :-) Ones relationship with ones surgeon and C.I. team are very important in ones progress, and threats of litigation, which have been suggested, arent helpful to anyone. In the most perfect of worlds, things will and do go wrong. As I stated before, there could be several reasons why the implant could had moved. It may be the second time around will be totally different than your first surgery. My husband had terrible problem with Vertigo with his first implant. He was in bed for the first 3 weeks after surgery. It was that bad and then it slowly went away after that. With his 2nd implant after reimplantation ... he never experience it at all. He was okay! Your situation may be different than his so it's always best to talk to your surgeon about this. I'm keeping you in prayer that all will go well for you.
