Guest guest
Hi Dolly, I think a lot of abbreviations are computer related. (And why is abbreviation such a LONG word?) Common abbreviations you'll see here are " BTE - Behind the Ear cochlear implant processor or hearing aid BWP - body worn processor or hearing aid HI - hearing impaired HOH - hard of hearing ENT - ear nose and throat specialist PT - physical therapy OT - occupational therapy or Off Topic 3G - a sound processor made by Cochlear Corp HA - hearing aid Rules of grammer dictate that when you use an abbreviation, you spell it out first time. For instance, if you are going to talke about a Cochlear Implant (CI) you spell it out and put the abbreviation in parentheses after is. Then you can just write CI the rest of the time. An old dolphin who can't learn a new trick, was pretty silly as a young dolphin. Here I noticed: HA (which I now know is Hearing Aid) HI ?? ENT ?? Are there more abbreviation words I should know?? Thank you to enlighten this dolphin. Dolly Dolphin
