Guest guest
hello , Yes I told you my clinic didn't initially back me up. However, on the basis of total blindness, I was finally able to get my surgeon to write a letter to Medicare and file the papers necessary for my second implant. I also persuaded Services For The Blind to pay the 20% Medicare wouldn't take care of. I am a fighter and it didn't come about by me accepting lip service. I wish you luck on the barricades. Guest guest
Larry, What you said is confusing. Seems I recall you telling me you had no help from your clinic, that you did it all, you took in the records and so on and on. (shrugs) No matter. *---* *---* *---* *---* *---* Wrinkled was not one of the things I wanted to be when I grew up. & Dreamer Doll (Guide Dawggie) Newport, Oregon N24C 3G 8/2000 Hookup rclark0276@... http://webpages.charter.net/dog_guide/ NEW Home Page! Guest guest
D, is covered also by Medicaid which is not the case for me. If she had Medicare only, she would not have been approved. *---* *---* *---* *---* *---* A good friend will come and bail you out of jail. A true friend will be sitting next to you saying, " Damn! That was fun! " & Dreamer Doll (Guide Dawggie) Newport, Oregon N24C 3G 8/2000 Hookup rclark0276@... http://webpages.charter.net/dog_guide/ NEW Home Page! Guest guest
, LOL! You're right. I did promise. I was planning to talk to my surgeon today about paperwork, but he wasn't in the office. I'll send him an e-mail this week to ask about the documentation that was submitted to Medicaid. I really want to do whatever I can to help and others obtain bilaterals through Medicare. Thank you for the reminder! I promise to send whatever information I can as soon as I talk to my surgeon. My surgeon and audi are very prompt in responding to e-mail, so I should have a reply very soon! Guest guest
, That's what my audi told me as well. If Medicaid had not approved my second CI, there would have been no other way for me to obtain one besides other means of funding. Guest guest
I have Medicare as my insurance carrier and I was approved for bilateral implants. You can also get 80% reimbursement for batteries by ordering them from Nucleus. (800-523-5798 I order them by the case. Guest guest
Yes, I had to do some of the papperwork myself. After my CI center found out I meant business, my surgeon wrote the letter for me. Larry Re: Bilateral Surtery Update > Larry, > What you said is confusing. Guest guest
Larry, In other words Larry, you did not do this on your own. You had others in the loop.
