Guest guest
I have the 3G right now and I love the fact that I can change the battery covers to match my clothing (most of the time). Then I got a HA and noticed that after a while the ear mold yets to be a yucky, earwax color. On a lark, I orderd a blue HA so after a while I decided to get a blue ear mold. I like the fact that people will see it without me having to explain every time that I have a hearing loss. So now that I will be getting a Freedom, I ordered the blue one so that both ears are the same. Brown head coil to match my hair. When I am up for a new ear mold for the HA, I think I may try a blue swirl!

Guest guest
Ilana, HI good to meet you also. I had my CI surgery Feb 24, 2006, Activated March 27, 2006. I have Nucleus, I'm at 750 speak. Which is the best for me, we have tried many different setting but I always come back to this one. I was deaf for 43 years no HA they wouldn't help. I fell off a school bus when I was 12 and 3 days later I was completely deaf. I speak well and red lips well. And now I also hear so I'm doing pretty good. I do not make out all the sounds that I hear, I know it will take time. I have been able to make out words a couple of times but mostly I lip read, and with what I'm hearing and what I lip read I would say I get 95% of everything now. Guest guest
My hair is black, with hints of grey now, Ilana. I also chose the silver processor, figuring that I would " grow into it " :-). I have the grey cords/cables as well. Being male, I never went through a fashion conscious stage as regards hearing aids being seen or not seen. I had worn the BTE ones for many, many years, because they were power aids and as such, were better for me than the ITE ones. I did start out with the ITE ones in 1978, but not the completely in the canal ones. Guest guest
Patsy, nice to meet you. When did you receive your CI? Do you have AB or Nucleus? I know you can change the battery cover of the ESPrit 3G from Cochlear. Ilana Deaf-Blind N24M 8/5/00 N24C Advance 8/5/06 -- original message -- Subject: Re: What Color Are Your CI/HA? Guest guest
Hi DJ, Is the picture on the website? I was unable to find any BTE colours of the Freedom either on their website (unless I was looking in the wrong place) or their information package book. My favourite colour is blue, so I was hoping to see the picture of it. Dolly dolphin
Guest guest
Dolly, I believe the Freedom is available in black, silver, beige, brown, pink, green and yellow. If all of those colors aren't available now, they may be at a later date (or so I heard on another forum). I agree with you about the blue color, but it's too late for me! I already selected black to match my 3G. P.S. I never responded to your post about nicknames. I like all 3! <smile> Left ear - Nucleus 24 Contour Advance with 3G Implanted: 12/22/04 Activated: 1/18/05 Right ear - Nucleus Freedom Implanted: 2/1/06 Activated: 3/1/

Guest guest
Is it just the battery section or is the whole processor available in colors to match the battery covers on the freedom, (regular size one) DJ > > Dolly, > > I believe the Freedom is available in black, silver, beige, brown, pink, > green and yellow. Guest guest
Thank you DJ. I enjoyed looking at your pictures. I really got the kick out of the " Glow in the Dark " HA and ear mold, lol. Now I know what the blue colour look like. Dolly Dolphin
